There are now over 500 private and charitable nursing homes in Ireland, serving over 20,000 people. The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) registers and inspects nursing homes in Ireland to ensure that all adhere to the same minimum quality of care and facilities.
Previously, care homes used conventional approaches to deliver staff training, which resulted in considerable financial and time costs. Care homes experienced challenges in verifying employee records and policies, as well as needing a large number of files and hard copies, resulting in time-consuming administrative issues
Olive Group collaborated with Nursing Homes Nursing Projects (NHNP), a group of DONs (Director of Nursing) from care homes around the world, to build the Care Homes Network courses. VidayoPro was utlised to create the videos for these eLearning courses. The classes are tailored to the current learning styles of learners. Learning is more engaging, fun, and cost-effective when high-quality, bite-size video content and immersive exams are used. To ensure that Nursing Homes follow the national standard, a compliance bundle has been created that all healthcare workers must complete (HIQA Compliance).
